My education was liberal arts, with a focus on business. Much later in life, after the family was grown, I went back to school and received a Masters degree in Theology. The actual process of earning that degree proved to be one of the most energizing and, perhaps the greatest experience I have had for personal growth and development. My first coaching focus was spiritual/life coaching which has proven to be a wonderful fit for Parent Coaching.
Why parent coaching?
In my thirty plus years of parenting, there were countless times that I could have used a coach to give me assistance. The parenting process has been a valuable education, and a rewarding gift.
My three children are grown, yet I continue to learn from them. We are meant to continue our “learning”. Learning is a life long process enriched by dreams and aspirations. Parenting was my first aspiration and the dream was to raise children with strong values and beliefs who recognize the importance of sharing their talents and gifts. You will find parenting a rewarding, challenging and life changing experience.
Mission
My mission with parent/life coaching is to assist parents in:
- Recognizing their personal power and potential in creating a vision for and with their children
- Recognizing their strengths as leaders for their children
- Developing skills to communicate their beliefs and values to their children
Passions
My passions continue to be: spirituality, family and friends. All of which are reinforced by my passion for parent coaching.
My hobbies include: golf, sailing, reading and needlepoint.
